Thanks. Realised I had a mistake in an across answer, so the letters for 26 D were wrong. I'm away to fix that.

26 D is now ?iege
(The clue is 'Investment company full of high-fliers')
Liege? Siege?

Don't want to cause ructions here but I would put my shirt on hedge as the correct answer.
HEDGE fund is an investment vehicle.
Birds (high fliers)also frequent Hedges.
Think you need to have another look at your other answers.
What are the clues for them?

(I got 'auriculate', which refers to the ears (listeners) because it's an anagram of
'a curious tale' with 'so'('not so)removed.
That's what gave me the 'e' in the middle ?of ?iege'
28 A. Order one to block number in aggregated value (6) ?mn?um
I got 'omnium' because of OM(order of merit)i=one, and maybe 'num' for number. So that's where the 'i' in ?iege came from.

What about aiery? high flier - eagle's nest?

The clue was 'Things that can be massaged, such as bone' (4) egos (egos can be massaged and 'eg os'= such as bone)
