Finished save one letter (I think). For 1d: Devours seconds, and same again, having entered eaterie (6) I have SCAF_S and assume it's scaffs, but can't find the word. Also, for 19a: Treacly cookie? Wise up, this could be rendered yellower with syrup (7) I have rye-roll, but can't see the wordplay. Yellower is ALMOST an anagram for it, but how is it altered? And are there treacly rye-rolls?

Scaffs for 1dn. It appears as a verb in the OED.
