Can anyone tell me what the name is for the type of crossword puzzle that has multiple answers per clue? That is, the clue could be solved equally well by more than one answer.

Also, are there online versions of this type of puzzle?

Thanks in advance.

I have seen this, where they give you two identical grids and two different sets of clues, one being cryptic and the other straight. But I do not know what they are called.

No, no. It's not two grids, only one.

Each clue can be solved by more than one word.

For example, the clue might be: "Doing this might cause damage"

The two possible answers (that would fit the grid) might be: "drag" and "drop"

I remember that, years ago, one of the Sunday newspapers had a prize crossword where most of the clues had more than one possible answer, so it was almost impoososible to match the winning solution.
