For those of you who enjoyed yesterdays speccie, this Listener (much easier than normal) is a similar puzzle. I'm having a go, probably won't finish it, but going well so far!

I agree with SL that those Speccie solvers who would like to move up to The Listener
level could do worse than start with the current puzzle.
Similarly this week's EV 982 could be a 'reasonably'gentle introduction to another challenging crossword.

1d Your last letter is incorrect.
The definition is "lakeside resort". It is an anagram of "ran", inside an American (Spanish?) word for mad. The resort is in Switzerland.

2d The misprint is "G" for "S" in the first word. As you know from the preamble, this is the definition. Think Norse.
