Finding this tough. Would appreciate any tips on a couple of clues (and the clue might have a misprint,part of the theme).

I know it's early to be asking for tips, but I haven't got v far in the past two hours.

If the misprint is monkey (money) it could be specie ?

Thanks,jazzgirl - but the clue might contain one misprinted letter which the solver has to correct.Simply taking away a letter wouldn't work, I feel.

Shivering fir, blurred? Not very.
I have ague for the answer - ague - shivering,
(v) ague (vague = blurred , then take off the "V" not very)
Where's the misprint?
