I need a couple of explanations or corrections. 12d NITH looks like NIT = WATCH? 11ac SANS - I see the French without but where does sickroom fit? Otherwise happily finished without too much help! Cheers, Andy

Looking for help/justifications for 29a and 26d.
I've got bite (irritation) for 26d and went with contrite (thoroughly broken - crushed) for 29a. Tried various versions of "One torn & c", is "&c." another version of "etc"?

can you post the clues?

26D Irritate(4)....I've gone with rile

29A One torn &c., crushed(8).....contrite - anag of i(one)torn and etc

Don't know why I got "irritation" in my head rather than "irritate", I am liking rile better than bite now!
