Hi Susie,
Is the title of your quiz really just "Places around the British Isles" or is there a more detailed description of what the quiz setter is asking for ? Do you have any examples of clues you have already answered which would give us an idea of how the setter's mind works? Have the answers been towns or just villages ?
Terry is right, there is a village in Shropshire called Linley (pop. under 1000)but don't know if it is correct. Isley Walton is a village in Leicestershire so it may just be villages ?
Let us all know - we don't have the quiz sheet!
