When I Googled (UK version) "pop evangelist" to see what that was all about, your question to this forum popped up 3rd from the top in over 1m hits! Perhaps it's a Canadian pop evangelist ? Sorry, will keep trying

Preacher?
come to - reach - inside 'Rep'(argument falls down here.Do Canadians use 'Rep by Pop' in elections? even so, still a bit flimsy)

yes..all three are rather stumpers aren't they?
I thought that maybe I was just over thinking them.
Please keep giving me some direction though.
I will work with what you have given me, and get back to you all.

Vangelis was a pop musician, so maybe Siamcat is right!

#1 is PREACHER: REACH ("get to") inside ("put in") PER ("a pop", as in each)

#2 is EIGHT: "Reporter's swallowed" = homophone of "ate". 8=2^3, ie 2 cubed (small cube)

#3 is HOMOPHONE: HO (Hawaiin singer) + MOP (floor cleaner) + HONE (perfect)
