Hello, can anyone please help me to understamd the following answers.

24ac Term for "theater" introduced by blue comic before bit of skirt really oozing it - Ans = BURLESQUE, but I don't see where the R comes from

8d Aagent whos bitter in a case of sickness made up - SALES REP ?

7d Glided most amazingly to overshadow everyone? Could be me - GOLD MEDALLIST - why 'could be me'

The compiler was Tim Moorey who I believe also does the fiendishly difficult Mephisto crossword in the Sunday Times

ChrisG thank you for your deconstruction of the clue to which the solution is burlesque. Not quite clear how que means 'it'. Sorry to be so dense but would appreciate an explication.
