I reckon it's SELWYN which would the the extremes of lucky (L and Y) and an anagram of NEWS

However, I don't see why the name Selwyn should be a "boy" and not a grandfather...?

thanks certainly fits so you think the resort bit indicates an anagram - nothing else seems to answer the clue.

Reckon so, it's not a resort (as in Marbella) but more re-sort telling you that you should re-sort the letters to make the name.

Not much good at explaining but I hope you can get it!!

Good luck

mmmm... sounds to me like a domestic (as in someone who works in the home). Could it be something like FISHWIFE?

Sidewife would be nice but don't think so somehow!

confident about the 4th letter being E as clue for 3D is "Head of Horace in pleasant corner" - has to be niche ......

loosely fits with "domestic" and "side" for "team" but where does the "at the height of their ability" come into it?
