It falls to me to give the Clueless word for this week:

The idea is to compile a cryptic clue to a given word. The winner of the previous week’s competition both sets the word to be clued and judges the entries. I'm running with Pauls innovation for Clueless 19 so the time-frame is being extended to encourage entries from weekend posters. The judge’s decision is final (reasons may or may not be given at the judge's discretion). It is customary for the judge to donate a virtual prize to the winner.

To be fair to others, please do not make any comments on entries until after the winner has been declared.

Entries may be updated/improved throughout the competition – I will judge the last entry only.

The Clueless 21 word is: CONNOISSEUR(11)

Clues to be submitted before 16:30 BST next Wednesday (17th August). The winner will be announced around 18:00.

Good Luck!
