I thought it was Kathy Burke but that isn't the name of a flower surely

Help needed with 96. Bachelor's buttons are a variety of which yellow wild flower? I thought BB's were cornflowers but don't understand the reference to yellow

I have posted queries on the fundraising site about both the clues you mention: I also had Kathy Burke for Waynetta and I thought cornflowers were bluish. Awaiting some confirmation that clues are correct.

Hi jazz and sudokulover. Have just googled buttercup + bachelors buttons and sure enough the names fit. Reckon that query is solved. Just awaiting Waynetta (what a horrible prospect!)

I couldn't agree more Freddo. I think that's the last one for me to try and solve, rightly or wrongly, but the clue doesn't make any sense at all to me.

Jazz. An answer back from the setter: Sorry about this question it does not contain a flower therefore it will be void! What a relief...Waynetta bites the dust!
