I found this it could be an "Americanism"

McAdam was a Scot. The road surface was named after him as a NOUN. Tarmac (Tar-McAdam) was also a noun. Only the Americans would take a non-verb and add an -IZING on the end (e.g. burglarizing). But yes it's the correct answer.
