I am struggling today (no surprises there !) -- and va va voom makes 15 d , Torrid spell in race to eliminate arms movement, 8' ..A...V. Any ideas?

Also, 18d, 8, stuff that won't be consumed, like cream on the turn so. -- I want the answer to be asbestos, because I have the B and the last S, but not sure why other than on the turn so (OS)
