I didn't notice anybody looking for help,so the crossword puzzle must be straightforward this week. I'm ashamed to say that I asked for assistance with 3 down. It's obvious when you see the answer.
I put "keen" down as the answer for 21 down but could not see what this has to do with "to mourn loudly"

Keen is another term for to wail and mourn loudly.

Much as you say, Robert. I was a bit lost until I fed some letters into my trusty machine, with tiny print, and it came up with the answer. I couldn't have done it alone.

For 2 (d) think dodgy parliamentary "seat" with letters representing "one" and "away".
