Just heard that Amy Winehouse has died at the age of 27 which is sad news for someone so young, it made me reflect on one of my favourite artists, Jim Morrison, who was also only 27 when he died. RIP

wow, i'm stunned, she was very talented. 27 is considered a jinxed age for pop/rock stars - Hendrix and Joplin spring to mind.

I feel awful for saying it, but I'm not really surprised - she always looked like someone who would crasha and burn at a young age. Very sad though, and a waste of a supreme talent. Obviously she was very troubled, at least she has peace now. Another member of the 27 club. Brian Jones, Curt Cobain and Pete Ham from Badfinger also all died aged 27. Strange isn't it? I remember saying to my husband the first time I saw her that she looked like a prospective member of the 27 club.

Robert Johnson the blues singer was also 27 when he was allgedly poisoned by an ex girlfriend - the list goes on.
