1d Hauling causing back pain (7)

I'm thinking 'pulling' ??

I've only just started but "pulling" doesn't fit with my 12a (fool -5 letters, lose the last letter + 2 letters for text/script)

Thanks. Now I know the 2nd & 6th letters.

Am 90% finished, but the last few are giving me grief - wondering if I've gone wrong somewhere...

Have now got an answer for 9 Down,not sure how it relates to the clue, but I might just settle for it!

Chips - If you look up the obvious word in the dictionary (don't want to give it yet) you will find it as an alternative meaning, also - i.e. 34ac . 9d I haven/t got yet, - I have the same letters as you - there seem to be only 2 words that fit that pattern, and I can't see the wordplay in either of them

Nice puzzle! This was on quiz programme a few days ago so was easy to recall them all!
