I thought maybe anagram of 'gnus any' with something else but not sure what.

13d) Headgear worn by national sportsman - a fine bowler, perhaps? (5,5)

I would have thought the first one was an anagram of:
gnus any g
but I still can't get the answer. Could it be a local or indigenous term?

Yes Samak I thought maybe anagram of gnus any g, but couldn't find anything. POssibly indigenous term

And of course how stupid of me for 13, I even thought of 'baggy' but it still didn't cross my mind!

I found one possible answer. Ginsengs - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ginseng
but I don't see how it fits with the clue.

Many Thanks Chrisg I now only have one left! I posted it on another thread with the same name. And there is a typo. I wrote 'spicy food' twice. :)
