Hello all,
A clue from our local crossword.
Tile brakes required in this situation.(7)
T*E*E*N.
I'm pretty sure that the answer is therein, but I can't see how Tile fits in. I wondered if it could possibly be a typo, and the clue should have read "The brakes required..."
Can anyone make sense of the tile option?

I'm not so sure. Brakes is plural, rein is singular, and therein means in THAT situation, not this. Are you absolutely sure of all your crossing letters?
