I set crossies just for pleasure. I wonder if some of you excellent regulars would like to try a few of my clues? Since they're new, no letters!

Aha! Number 4 just clicked into place. All done, with a slight hesitation over the first word of number 3...

great clues again! Had a bit of time to spare today and managed to get three (and a half!) right. Knew number 3 was ????? beating, but didnt tumble. Nearly pulled my hair out over number 4.
