Figure it's a spymaster's - FORM
the T comes from 25d :
Many left, some got stuck - LOTS

Hmm. Thinking of MUST which fits mould but not really demonstration.
Not sure I understand the wordplay for FORM.

I'm thinking that rust is what you see when the fungus (mould)has done it's work ??!!
I think that I'll use RUST as the answer!
