could be an anagram(Nonetheless lad forks)??which would rule out Spender(no P).

26a I got 'onset' for 'more than a walk-on part' as More than a walk=onset, from on and set-part. However, this seems to get in the way of my ideas for the intersecting answers. Am I on the right track or not? :) Rob
