Hi Celadon
I think the answer is ESTRIDGE which was once the name for an ostrich.

Hi Celadon
Sorry can't help here apart from thinking that Contentin,Cap Frehel and Rhuys are all places in Normandy/Brittany.
Is this puzzle from a French source?

Morning All.

The answer to this question has been given elsewhere as 'Presquile' (presqu'ile means peninsula).
