I can't get my head round the last clue of today's cryptic crossword in The Sunday Times so I am appealing for help.

25 Across "Yen to drop old fashioned underwear is leading to arrest (6)"

I have S-A-I-. I am lead to think the solution is STASIS which my dictionary says means arrest of the blood.

If it is STASIS, why and how does it fit the clue? If it isn't STASIS, what is it and why?

Thanks, Chald. Now I see it! I don't like to put answers into a grid unless I knows exactly why. Now I will put STASIS into my grid with my head held high.

Finished!
