Thank you. I had Signors instead of Signore for 8d so now understand that Immediate is right for 15a.
I do not follow the reasoning for 2d Mine Owner. Can someone please explain?

Rubbish one M Winner with no end of elan - he's just about the pits!- anagram of M Winner + 0 (end of no) gives "mine owner" who is about pits.

Thanks AB. It was the word elan that was throwing me off. I see it now.

I think the anag is one/M/Winner with no end of ela(n)
