1st clue - wharfedale.

However apart from "ale" for drink and "f" for food I dont understand the clue

it looks like evacuated Welsh = Wh(loose all the inside letters)and the same for actor.

also wharfdale;

evacuated welsh actor =wh + ar (ie no inner),+ fed +ale

missed out 'given food' = fed
