Hi all. Normally I'm able to complete this but not this week...

"Get oneself out of a tight spot? (6)". LO-S-N. Gotta be loosen but why?

"Getting money in exchange" = selling. Is there a cryptic element to this?

Could DEALING fit there? As in Stock Exchange...

Good shout but, no - the SE-L-N- are all definites. The first L is the L of Loosen which no-one's yet commented on. The definites for that are -O-S-N.

To get out of anything tight you have to loosen it

Could it refer to Loosen ones belt,(stop being tight with money)

The last 2 seem pretty poor clues, compared to the others.
