I have concluded that the county is Denbighshire and that the compiler didn't realise that it is in Wales. This fits with cold feet (loss of confidence), Bonapartist, cavity and Brahma (Hindu creator). I can not make any other county work. I'd welcome confirmation or views of others as I doubt that I will see the solution.

They printed a apology for the wrong clue for English county - it should have read Welsh county
