Four words escape me this week, and any help will be gratefully received!
1. --N---R: presenter's screen captures hit from the east
2. --G---D: referred to as heard and seen
3. ----P-T: damper device - put on pocket
4: ----N: satellite station broadcast fading so

Fingers crossed, and many hopeful thanks,

Richard

Many thanks, Sudokulover - these all fit perfectly, but I have to confess that I don't understand why!

DONATOR is ROOD (screen) containing TAN all reversed

TITAN is an anagram (broadcast) of STATION with the SO removed

DASHPOT clue is still a mystery to me. I know it is a dampening device and POT = pocket but where exactly the DASH comes from eludes me too.

I expect someone else can explain.
SIGHTED is a momophone of CITED

I clearly had post-Sunday-lunch blankness yesterday! Many thanks. I think this was one of the more obscure Sunday Times puzzles, or perhaps this was just me??
