Thanks, Paul - I see the 'fed'(supplied) part, but the rest of the wordplay/clue eludes me! I've put 'fedora' in.

ora in Latin means,i think, something like 'the mouths of'.
(orifice,oral are from same root as i guess)

Yes, "ora" is the plural from of "os" which means an opening to a passage n the body - derived from the Latin. Devillish indeed!

I guess "eternal gratitude" is the only response appropriate re the "Eternal City"!
