INTENTLY - IN TENT (under canvas) + LY (lay minus "a", ie disheartened).

23D Rigid pole taking some electricity to junction 6 -t-i-t strict?

STRICT (rigid) - S (pole) + TRIC (some of elecTRICity) + T (junction).

I can't see yet the answer to 24d.

24D Work steadily, edging border neatly and with precision 6
-r-m-- looks like rim should be in the centre

This must be PRIMLY (with precision).
PLY (work steadily) around RIM (border).
