Think our remaining clue 21 down is the tube stop 'Kenton'. ken = to know but why 'ton'?

According to Concise Oxford:

Ton (pronounced 'tawn') = prevailing mode, fashion; fashionable style or society.

I've seen this used quite a lot in crosswords - well worth remembering ;-)
