Im stuck in the bottom left corner with seceral clues to get. What I would really like is an explicit pointer to the definition rather than just the answer....
So 12d would give me the most help...
Bear lover's lies or push for change (10). It ends in an E. Is it a type of bear? Does the change mean it is an anagram? Help gratefully received

It is an anagram.
Bear is not to be taken literally, but rather as representative.

I don't think I would ever have got that....Bear= Russian, anagram of lies or push.... I ve got the letters written down but couldnt find anything. Thanks everyone for chipping in!
