CRAM backwards is MARC, It should be MARCUS, but I can't see how US means Australians

Well, samak, you've got me there.I just assumed there must be a Roman poet of that name-shows you-one mustn't make things up. I think the answer is correct, though. Maybe Marcus writes for the publication in which the crossword was published?

On reflection the only answer could be Marcus. i think mar is to stuff , c about, and us because it is an australian newspaper. but who the hell is Marcus?
