Thanks, I've got it now. Most of this puzzle was fairly straightforward - making it a little less fun!

Finished this in record time (for me) today. Only query - what has the answer, which I've got, to 36ac got to do with Woodstock. Dressed stone yes but can't see the connection. Maybe because I wasn't there - my mum wouldn't let me go!

The first part of the answer is clued by "wood", and then an incomplete word for "stock"

Thanks AJT. I was only looking at the word as a whole, probably because it looked like a proper noun.

Yes AJT, it's why I like crosswords: the clever misdirections; novel use of words and the smile when I "get it".

I've just about finished, but still a little confused with 5 Down (unclued). I'm not sure if the answer should be the present tense, the past tense or the agent noun. Can anyone - anyone who's got this crossword- help?
