Apparently a tiller is a young shoot( so far so good) but where is the old girl and the boats bar. And HELLO to ALL. Thea

Maybe 3 meanings
a) Young shoot
b) The bar on a boat controlling the rudder
c) Tiller girls,a former girls dancing group seen often on TV 40 years ago.

You must be very young,at least much younger than I am.There again most people are younger than me nowadays.
The former Speaker in the House of Commons Betty Boothroyd (now elevated to the House of Lords),was an ex Tiller girl, and has the legs to prove it.

Ah, The Joker! I knew Betty was a dancer but never knew which troupe she was in. Folies Bergere or the Tiller Girls. Anyway, old granpops has told me that he was a huge fan of a Pan's People/Person.Cherry Gillespie. He said she had beautiful eyes!!!!
