I'm a week behind, which is nothing unusual, and I HAVE finished this crossword, but I cannot fully see the implication behind the parts of two clues. There's 4 across:-
"Before game, say, start to prepare pitch"
The answer is bound to be "Asphalt" wuich ties in nicely with "Pitch" but I cannot link up the rest.
And then there's 32 down:-
"Be confident Arab's introducing everyone
to a dancing craze".
The answer can only be "Balletomania" which didn't take me long to see, but where does "Be confident" fit into the answer? I
don't like to put a crossword to bed until I
fully understand all the intricacies, so can someone put me straight. please?

Second one:- Be confident is Bet, Omania is an Arab (?from Oman?), around all (everyone),giving Balletomania.
