"Knife man's wound heals into hollow scar" 7 letters,S-A-H-R.Hollow scar is no doubt S-----R,but if it's slasher or smasher,why the rest?Give me 3 letters and I'm made for the day!Thanx in advance...

Afterthought:could LASHED (=wound a rope)be regarded as healing by getting smaller??!!
