5th one...you do get a winter jasmine?

2nd Violet

3rd Hazel?

4th...want bearded iris to fit, but it don't!

Wonder if 4 is Pansy, as some of them have streaks that look exactly like cat's whiskers?

I agree with Pastille, Hazel, though it's not usually grown in hedges. Ivy fits the clue best but not the letter count. Ivy runs right through my back hedge in spite of my best efforts to stop it!
