Hi Jerry,

Despite a fast start with 2546, I seem to have ground to a halt in the top right-hand corner and have 5 left.

Any hints regarding 6a (I only have the H) would hopefully kick-start 6,7 and 9d.

Strangely, ayeremaining is one I had.

Liked the clue to 1/10 !

Regards,
Alan

I downloaded the online Mephisto (I'm still trying to get to grips with it) and the online version seems to be a different beast from the one Jerry and Alan have been discussing. For example the online 27 Ac. is as follows:

27 Camp entry with new date agreed (11)

Isn't it mystifying enough without this?

Hi Jerry,
Glad Alan liked the clue to 1/10. I am still wondering what the hell it is about!!!! I shall be in UK next Sunday (God help me!!!) For the present am up the creek without a paddle, comme d'habitude, but when I am not socialising tomorrow perhaps I shall have more luck!!
Regards
Bob

My favourite clue on this one is 8d!
Am away for the next two weekends up in Scotland,
