7 down,(4,6.)tot ate more stewed fruit.Thought anagram,only poss had been tomato tree which doesnt exist nor fit.I have t-e-t-/m-t-
11D (9) on leave about middle ofmarch,put extra coat on. R-V-R-I--

thank you SO much-what an idiot I am to have separated it to 6,4 and not the reverse.Doing the N.Y. times sunday xword and times cryptic in the same day is not to be recommended!
I still have one not done:26A (6) woman given part in american theatre, -N-H-A,prob. wrong..
