Has anybody heard of the name BILDERS for the name of a wild plant,my Cornish friend said that is what he calls Cow Parsley.Is he wrong?

just found an old "food for free" book that says that bilders is another name for watercress?Please help me if you know anything different.

From a glossary of the Cornish dialect:

Bilders. Heradlum spJioncUlmm. Cut as fodder for
pigs. Couch (Hist, of Polperro) thinks that this
name, in other parts of Cornwall, is applied to the
poisonous hemlock, water-drop-wort. JEnanihe.

Note that the above appears to be a misspelling or a typo for heracleum sphondylium, which is known as common hogweed; see here for more info:

thankyou so much.I think I'm getting closer to the answer.He was definitely looking at cow parsley at the time and think he may be confused with hemlock etc.
