I found it quite easily by going through Chambers - you've got three letters out of four.

Have looked through Chambers and looked in Word Wizard but can't find anything to fit. Am I going blind?

It was in as assai in the 9th edition and acai (with a cedilla) in the 11th. That's probably why you didn't find it.
