LIKE A DOGS DINNER is correct. You may have 12 down incoorect, which is a repeated word.

Hi,
Problem with 13d:
'Dealt with murder suspect and went swiftly to bed?' (9)
P?U?M?T?D
PLUMMETED?
Can't work out why!
Thanks for any help!

I think the murder suspect is a reference to Professor PLUM in Cluedo. METED is dealt with and the rest is the definition, with the bed being sea bed or river bed

Thanks Big Dave, I did wonder about Cluedo but not familiar with the characters.
