An old Times Crossword. I am stuck in one corner.

Any solutions gratefully received.

So artist's finally received award for TV programme(6).

I've just got it; it's SITCOM.

Some more still to get so may be back with further clues.

I got them all done but still left somewhat baffled by a few.

DOWN CLUE:
Freak piece of coal(3).

I've got NUB but I don't get the freak part. Maybe that's not the right answer.

ACROSS CLUE:
Hung about, wasting Tuesday? That's not acceptable(6).

I've got ABEYED. (the B is from NUB) I get the hung reference in the sense that something abeyed is in suspension but don't get the rest. Is it the right answer?

DOWN CLUE:
Wine merchant runs out after a month (7).

For this I have MOSELLE which is a wine and fits the pattern M - S - L - E but don't see how the rest of the clue works.
