Ah, the joys of retirement, when you can devote yourself to matters of importance as soon as the Radio Times lands on the mat.

Quite straightforward today. 8 across is good.

Enjoy it.

Hi Pipesmoker,

Yes, I agree - on both counts!

With best wishes,

Glad to see you like 8 across "Information here-a wide array-but I sleep in"

I have ?I?I?E?I, but I cannot find a word which fits the clue.

Your help would be appreciated

Thanks, Robert

Re 8 across, "Information here-a wide array-but I sleep in, I should have shown the known letters as ?I?I?E?I? (RT 15 9-15 April 11)

an anagram of a wide, and another way of saying I sleep = A spot where you can find out just about anything.

Rules of the thread don't allow me to give you the answer directly.

Thanks, Pipesmoker, for the additional clues to 8 across.
No wonder I couldn't find it in the dictionary.

Good afternoon all. I hope you are all well.
Well done Pipesmoker and Caravaggio. I'm stuck on 23a to the extent that I'm wondering if the three letters I have are incorrect. A small clue would be appreciated.

Hi All, found it hard to get started, and like Navigator, I'm stuck on 23a - I've got four letters
-A-E-I-R-

I'm also stuck on 8a and despite Pipesmoker's additional clue, I'm still stuck - I think I've got 6d wrong, cos I've got
-I-I-E-A-
So once again, any additional clues, would be lovely...
Cheers
Chris
