The answer to 19d is causing me some grief as to its explanation.

Acrobats use it, putting duty over comfort, it's said (7)

The answer is TRAPEZE and the "eze" part is plain but I can't think of a convincing link between "Trap" (or conceivably "Part") and duty.

Any thoughts?

Tim you have answered it yourself...duty over is Trap (part). A meaning of part is responsibility - duty

Cheers. It's always the words you think you know and don't look up that catch you out! ;-) I just hadn't considered that a part might be a duty (as well as a role etc.).

Thanks.
