Hi there,

Can I ask what folk have put for 30a (4) 'Wish for 4+' I've got l-n- and can't decide between long (as in wish for) and ling (as in heather - 4d is 'Heather's big behind').

Thanks

HI, Jaybee,

I've gone for long which if you take ling and add a few letters you get longing. Probably doesn't make a lot of sense, but Myops' clues often don't either.

I agree with long as mortal can mean tediously long (Chambers) and links with 22d

4+? =4+is which in turn refers to 4 being losing which in turn is long +is. Therefore the answer is long, if you are still with me. I happen to think that Myops' clues do make sense!
