28a Being unconventional member of, say a club and yet you get "in" this way! (3,2,4)
I have O-T -F -I-E and am guessing it's OUT OF LINE, but don't see why.
Also, 1d Sun journalist in rough accomodation S-A--

I think Out of Line is correct, it does mean unconventional, but I too am not sure about how the rest fits in.
