True. There are so many possible indicators, sometimes used as a misdirection.

However, that is the most common clue type, so I usually try that first. Especially if the letter count of nearby words matches.

If I may add my 2 cents worth to this and if it is the 1st question you are referring to, yes I did realise it was an anagram, pointed to by the word "design", I do not play scrabble, and don't have an anagram programme,
